Urban Soap is a set of 4 sculptural soaps inspired by architecture of Seoul. Our soaps are multi-sensory objects with the intention to deliver urban fragments through sensibilities of sight, smell and touch.
Please do take note that we carefully produce all soaps by hand. To ensure the highest quality of our products, all orders are made-to-order. Estimate production time is one week.
#01 | Mandarin + Patchouli
Design _ The shape is inspired by a famous Seoul landmark, the Royal Palace. The slanted shape and transparency of the soap represent the uneven stone pavements from the main hall and how they reflected sunlight.
Fragrance _ The zesty and herbaceous aroma of #01 reminisces the pungent sweet aroma of summer rain falling on stone pavements of Seoul’s Royal Palace

#02 | Cedarwood + Juniper
Design _ Soap #02’s inspiration comes from different architectural structures of the city. #02 is composed of two soap bases - transparent and opaque. The different components help accentuate the complexity and construction of city's structures.
Fragrance _ The warm scent of cedarwood captures the woody smell of Hanok cottages and the sweet aroma of sun-kissed courtyard.
Benefits _ Comforting features of cedarwood and juniper berry will ease your stress and shield your skin from damage caused by pollutants and toxins.

#03 | Rose Geranium
Design _ The shape is inspired by the painted patterns of the Royal Palace. The blend of opaque and transparent soap bases highlight the vivid colours of the decoration and the softness of the floral shape.
Fragrance _ Spicy notes blended with warm florals captures the pure and soft aroma of tree blossoms swaying in the breeze at Seoul’s Royal Palace at sunset.
Benefits _ The cooling and uplifting qualities of rose geranium will lift your spirit and gently nourish your skin for a healthier glow.

#04 | Lavender + Bergamot
Design _ The shape features the symmetry and continuity of the Royal Palace's roof tiles and its construction. The colour and clarity of the soap is inspired by the glaring and reflection of the glass buildings and how light traveled through them.
Fragrance _ The fresh yet warm scent of #03 captures the vivid sunlight shimmering on Han River and the crisp air of autumn nights.
